Location: Playa Vista, CA
As a Level Design Intern at Treyarch, you will join our Level Design Department and work on content for Call of Duty across our three level design teams: Multiplayer, Warzone, and Zombies.
You will begin by familiarizing yourself with our proprietary Engine and learn important design principles that are specific to each of our 3 teams. You will then use this knowledge to develop a map of your own creation, taking it from a 2D top down into a 3D level. Finally, you will collaborate with the Level Design teams on actual Call of Duty production maps.

Collaborate with art and design to develop unique gameplay experiences and environments that adhere to our gameplay standards Design, create, and iterate on level maps from paper prototype to map completion Work with other level designers to identify and resolve gameplay issues Participate in company-wide playtests and provide feedback Demonstrate your creativity and passion for level design! Experience with video game development in professional, indie, or academic settings The ability to work as part of a team with an appreciation for collaboration The ability to take constructive feedback on your work and articulate constructive feedback on the work of others Basic knowledge of Photoshop/ Illustrator Familiarity with Call of Duty Multiplayer, Warzone, and Zombies gameplay and levels Familiarity using any 3D level building tools including Unreal, Unity, Max/Maya, etc. A willingness to learn. Covid-19 Hiring Update: We expect to be back in office for our summer 2023 internship and successful candidates will be expected to relocate and be onsite in Los Angeles for the duration of it.
