At Sense, we are transforming the Contractor Experience for the World's Best Places to Work. Independent workers now make up nearly 31% of the US workforce, and we are reinventing the way companies build a long-term relationship with this workforce by creating the industry's first employee engagement platform to drastically improve communication and job satisfaction. We believe this type of work is only going to get more common and the experience can be much better for the candidates and contractors.
Our design program here at Sense is growing, and our Head of User Experience is looking to hire our first full-time Product Design Specialist to own and evolve the UI across all of our current and future products. We are looking for a creative and pragmatic designer—someone who will help us find solutions to user pain points we didn't know we needed to solve. This is a unique opportunity to help build the product design team from the ground up. Working closely with the rest of the org to figure out how to best solve our user's problems.
What we’re looking for:
Someone who’s flexible and adapts quickly in a fast-paced, startup environment.
Someone who advocates for the user, but also knows how to weigh insights and recommendations in the context of business goals.
Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment enjoys thinking out of the box, and always manages to stir up trouble.
Someone who works cross-functionally. Working across Product, Engineering, Marketing, BI, and Account Management to help the company make better decisions.
Someone looking to be part of a small team, we’re wanting to keep the UX team lean in the near future
Someone who uses a qualitative + quantitative understanding of customers to back up their design decisions
Experience with traditional graphic design, digital & paper prototyping, UI patterns for both native & web apps, information architecture, and coming up with scrappy ways to do research.
